Showteam Auditions
When: Saturday, June 9th, 2012
Where: CR DanceXtreme Inc. (Located at 110 Beech Street behind Scotiabank)
Auditions for our 2012-2013 competitive Showteam will be held on June 9th, 2012 at our studio. Times wil be as follows:
12:00 - 12:30 PM = 7-9 years of age audition. Meeting with parents will immediately follow from 12:30 - 12:45 PM
12:45 - 1:15 PM = 10-13 years of age audition. Meeting with parents will immediately follow from 1:15 - 1:30 PM
1:30 - 2:00 PM = 14 years & up audition. Meeting with parents will immediately follow from 2:00 - 2:15 PM
Please note there is a mandatory meeting for all parents of new students auditioning for Showteam, Sunday May 27th, 2012 starting at 2:00 PM. This meeting will summarize what to expect when joining Showteam. Anyone who is auditioning must be ready to commit if chosen. Picture & Student Appreciation Day
When: Saturday, June 16th, 2012
Where: CR DanceXtreme Inc. (Located at 110 Beech Street behind Scotiabank)
Our annual Picture & Student Appreciation day will be held on June 16th, 2012. For those of you new to us this year (and a reminder to those who have participated before) it is a day where the kids come in their costumes at their scheduled time(s) and get their pictures taken (both a group shot & solo shot if ordering one). Also, to show our appreciation we provide hot dogs and snacks to all our students throughout the day! We will be sending home a full schedule of each classes scheduled time & order form (to order what shots you would like to purchase) no later than May 17th. Please ensure your child brings something to wear over their costumes while eating (as we don't want to ruinany costumes before the recital). Costumes will be handed out before picture day. Just a reminder: certain tights and/or accessories may have to be purchased to complete your costume. If so, you will be notified when costumes are handed out.
"Steppin' thru the Decades" Recital
Where: June 21st, 22nd, & 23rd
Where: Tidemark Theatre
Our recital will take place on June 21st, 22nd, & 23rd with rehearsals at the Tidemark Theatre the week prior replacing all regular classes. This year's show, "Steppin' thru the Decades" will be an exciting look back at the music, fashion, and dance moves of the past 100 years. More information will be handed out soon including rehearsal times, ticket sales, and what shows your child will be performing in (we have 2 different shows each year; one for our younger students, and another for our teen/adult students). More important information to follow in the near future!
Summer Dance Camps
CR DanceXtreme is proud to announce that we have exciting, fun, and creative summer dance camps in July & August for ages 3 & up! Register for any of these dance camps before Monday, June 11th (excluding Summer Dance Xplosion) and receive $20.00 off the cost! Summer Dance Xplosion
This summer instensive from July 2nd - 6th is available for ages 8 & up. Featuring Los Angeles performers, educators, and choreographers in the entertainment industry teaching an array of dance styles such as jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap, musical theatre, ballet, and much more. Credits of these talented artists include performances with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Rhianna, Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry, "Dancing with the Stars", & choreography for "Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew" & "X Factor" to name a few. Cost = $295.00 + HST
Boys Hip Hop Summer Boot Camp
This boys only summer hip hop program will be from July 9th - 13th for ages 5-8. Learning popular hip hop styles such as poppin', tutting, break dance, and much more. All of the styles learned will give your child a strong foundation & education to grow from. Classes will also feature dance games, challenges, and a performance for family & friends on the last day! Cost = $176.00 + HST
Dance 'Till You Drop
Experience all types of dance including hip hop, jazz, tap, musical theatre, yoga, and more! Ages 5 - 8 will have their session from July 9th - 13th & Ages 9 - 12 will be July 16th - 20th. Cost = $215.00 + HST
Disney Princess Summer Dance Camp
Let your little princess discover acting, singing, and dancing in this wonderful summer dance camp from July 9th - 13th for ages 3 - 4. Each day will be spent exploring the life of a princess by acting, singing, and dancing out to stories based on their favorite Disney Princess characters such as Cinderella, Ariel, Tiana, Mulan, and Belle. Cost = $150.00 + HST
Ballet Summer Dance Intensive
This ballet intensive summer dance camp is for experienced to beginner dancers and will be from August 6th - 10th for ages 5 - 18. Each dancer will be taught based on individual level. Classes will include ballet barre, center floor exercises, across the floor and ballet combinations. Junior Level Cost = $115.00 + HST. Intermediate & Advanced Cost = $150.00 + HST
